Registration, Waiver, and Release

All participants in the Freeze Your Buns Run/Walk 5K are required to sign and return the following waiver upon check-in:

I understand that walking, running, or volunteering to work at the St. James Freeze your Buns Run event is a potentially hazardous activity. I should not enter, walk, run, or work in this event unless I am medically able and properly prepared and/or trained. I agree to abide be any decision of the St. James Freeze your Buns Run staff relative to my ability to safely complete or assist in this organization’s event activities. I assume ass risks associated with walking, running, or volunteering to work at the St. James Freeze your Buns run including, but not limited to-falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, including snow, ice, sleet and/or rain, the conditions of the running surface or traffic on the racecourse. All such risks being known and/or appreciated by me. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts, and in consideration of your accepting my entry for racing or volunteering, I, for myself and for anyone entitled to act on my behalf waive and release St. James School’s Freeze your buns run and all its sponsors from all claims and liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this activity, even thought this liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of persons named on this waiver.  In addition, I grant permission to all of the forgoing to use any photographs, motion pictures, recordings, or any other record of my participation in this event for any legitimate purpose.
